40 to 50 Hours / Week

Wages: $22 and $24/hour.

​

We are looking for a talented artisan who has a long experience in building unique, high-end kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities based on traditional style. 

​

Specific Skills:

 

• Amazing and verifiable traditional woodworking skills that you have honed over a career (cabinet making/building)

• Ability to operate a variety of woodworking machinery to fabricate cabinetry to create products that our clients would be proud to have in their kitchens/bathrooms based on traditional style

• Bore holes for insertion of screws, dowels using a boring machine

• Set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws, routers, clamps, and various other power and hand tools

• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made, or prepare specifications, Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints, Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, 

• stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics, Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products, Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components, 

• Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products

 

Additional Skills

• Instruct apprentices, Maintain clean and safe work environment, Estimate costs and materials

 

Area of Specialization

Restoration of antique furniture, Cabinets, Built-in units, Furniture, Window sashes, Doors and door frames, Millwork, Furniture and cabinet remodeling, Wood carving
